Our commitments
Our Semi-Independent living opportunities provides support for young people aged 16-18 years of age with low – high level support needs.
​
We provide various programs for young people from support for offenders with low level offences, to coaching and mentoring behavioural issues, students leaving foster care requiring basic independent living skills. Our team provides extra support for pre-employment preparation and successful outcomes for 16 -18 year olds ready to be fully independent and contributing positively to their immediate communities.
Our vision is To provide a range of high quality services to Looked after Children who are Leaving Care, enabling young people to learn, develop and reach their full potential. To be involved in the design and delivery of services and ensure services meet the needs of the Young people.

The management and staff have the skills, qualifications and experience in supporting people working towards living independently. We also provide education, apprenticeship, employment, day to day activities such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, self-care, shopping, travelling, support with appointments/meetings, training, as well as support to build confidence to associate with other people.

Here at Shekinah Care we believe in simplicity, so in order to achieve the goals set for our Young Persons, we follow a simple three step process.

Pathway Plan – Agreement between Worthing & Young Person and Shekinah Care (Semi Independent Provider);

Care-Plan – Statement of work agreed between Young Person and Shekinah Care (Semi-Independence Provider);

Personal Planning (Key-working Sessions) – Reviewed quarterly, discussed weekly and implemented daily between Young person and Keyworker (Semi-Independent Provider
This three step procedure, details how we will achieve the goals set in the pathway plan for the young person.
